Russell drove in four runs on two hits to lead Lakewood Varsity Rangers past Aurora Varsity Greenmen 16-3 on Saturday at 14100 Franklin Boulevard. Russell hit a home run to center field in the fourth inning, scoring three runs, and tripled in the fourth inning, scoring one.
Lakewood Varsity Rangers scored nine runs in the fourth inning on the way to victory. Russell tripled, scoring one run, Laidley singled, scoring one run, Schroeder singled, scoring two runs, Legato singled, scoring one run, Laidley drew a walk, scoring one run, and Russell homered to center field, scoring three runs.
