Lakewood Varsity Rangers were triumphant over Chagrin Falls Tigers 5-1 on Thursday at 14100 Franklin Blvd.

Lakewood Varsity Rangers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Hart walked, and Laidley singled to the left side of the infield, each scoring one run.
Lakewood Varsity Rangers added one run in the third after Verderber hit a sacrifice fly.
Comer earned the win for Lakewood Varsity Rangers. The starter gave up two hits and one run (zero earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking one. Watson took the loss for Chagrin Falls Tigers. The hurler went five innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on four hits, striking out six and walking four.

Laidley tossed one and one-third innings of shutout ball for Lakewood Varsity Rangers in relief. The hurler allowed zero hits, striking out two and walking two.
Verderber provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Lakewood Varsity Rangers with two runs batted in. Jones went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Lakewood Varsity Rangers in hits. Jones and Russell each stole multiple bases for Lakewood Varsity Rangers. Lakewood Varsity Rangers ran wild on the base paths, tallying eight stolen bases for the game. Lakewood Varsity Rangers turned one double play in the game.
Cimperman and Calabrese each collected one hit for Chagrin Falls Tigers.
